Pancha karma is the cleansing system from India that’s designed to detoxify as well as rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit. Pancha karma is rooted in the science of Ayurveda and is related to integrating our unique constitutions with our collective consciousness.
The root cause of diseases, according to Ayurveda, is toxins; Ama. Pancha karma aims to remove excess Ama and remove toxins from the body and also to clear and calm the mind, in order for the natural soul’s resonance to shine through and to emerge. It’s also understood in Ayurveda that cause of disease comes from misidentification of the self. In that when we can see that we are not just physical, but that we are much larger and we are more than our physical bodies, then we can have right perception of understanding the nature of our spirits. Pancha karma not only aims to cleanse the physical body of toxins, but cleanses the mind (and later on the soul) in order to have a right and justice feeling about life and nature. We appreciate the smaller things and become part of the big world of the visible and the invisible. We become infinite and we unite in the cosmic energy of the flow of the NOW. Pancha karma therapies are meant to cleanse the body, mind and soul.
